The project updates the Financial Distress Index Model (FDI) with current hospital and market data and to evaluate changes in risk status and geographic distribution over time. We will conduct an in-depth analysis of high risk hospitals including identifying distance to other hospitals, community demographic/SES information, health outcomes, and workforce factors to test their ability to predict high-risk status.
