Rural-Urban Differences in Self-Reported Participation in Diabetes Self-Management Education

Description

Using 2019 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System data, this study examined the proportion of rural versus urban adults who reported receiving Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME). Fewer rural than urban residents reported DSME. Hispanic persons were less likely to report DSME than non-Hispanic White persons. Single persons were less likely to report DSME than coupled individuals.
